1. This Privacy Policy has been compiled to better serve those concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our Privacy Policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

When ordering or registering on our site, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, or other details to help you with your experience.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow), enabling the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

12. Cover Letter Checker
The free Cover Letter Checker works without an account. To run a check, we send your cover letter to OpenAI, our AI service provider, together with the job posting and the resume if you add them. OpenAI processes these texts under its own terms and privacy policy. Dovira does not store them for the check. If you upload a resume file, we read the text out of it and do not keep the file.

A check leaves only a technical record without any of your texts: the time, the score, the number of words in the letter, whether a job posting and a resume were added, and technical details such as the model used, the number of tokens and how long the check took. Reading an uploaded resume file leaves a similar record without the file or its text. These records hold a salted hash of your IP address, which we use to limit how many checks and uploads one person can run; the hash is cleared within three days. Analytics events from the checker page carry only figures such as the score and the number of words, never the texts.

If you choose to continue in Dovira with the button under your report, we save the letter, the job posting, the resume text and the check report in a temporary record, together with a salted hash of your IP address, so that we can set up your workspace after you sign in. The texts in this record are kept for up to 48 hours: our daily cleanup deletes the record or, if you have continued in Dovira, clears the texts and the hash from it. We also delete the texts as soon as your rewritten letter is saved. What stays in the record is figures about the report, such as how many issues it found, and the link to your account; we use them to measure how well the tool works. When you continue, the job posting becomes a job in your Dovira account, the resume text becomes your career profile if you do not have one yet, and the rewritten letter is saved as your cover letter for that job. We send the texts to OpenAI again to summarize the posting and to write the rewritten letter. Your original letter is used only for the rewrite and is not kept.

13. Early access lists
Some pages of this website invite you to join an early access list for a product we are building, such as the job search assistant for AI apps. When you join, we keep your email address, the AI app you chose, your answers to the optional questions on the form (where you are in your job search and whether you are open to a call), the page you joined from, the country we infer from your IP address, the UTM tags of the link that brought you, and a salted hash of your IP address, which we use to limit how many sign-ups one person can send.

We use this to email your invite when early access opens, to decide what to build first and which AI apps to support, and, only if you said you are open to it, to invite you to a short call about the product. We do not sell your email address or share it for anyone else's marketing. To be removed from a list, write to info@dovirai.com and we will delete your entry.

14. California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

- Users can visit our site anonymously.
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can be easily found on the specified page.
- You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.
- You can change your personal information by emailing us, logging in to your account, or chatting with us or sending a support ticket.
